The Native American Flute can transport one to a more relaxed and calm state, especially after listening for 10 minutes or more. This feeling is known as the ‘alpha’ state, a state during which your brain is pulsing at a lower rate than your mental and emotional fluctuations. (Price, Creating and Using the Native American Love Flute, 1994). One of the most impactful ways to develop this alpha state, is by focusing on the breath. During our daily activities this can be a challenge, as due to our busy lives, our minds end up operating mostly in the ‘beta’ state. In this state, your conscious mind is dominant and your subconscious mind can’t break through to help you out, as it can when you are asleep.
So, people who are able and trained to maintain a prolonged alpha state can deal with life much more effectively than people who are usually in beta (Price, Creating and Using the Native American Love Flute, 1994). This is a new channel trailer for my Dan Jones Hypnosis channel now my channel will almost exclusively be focused on healing hypnotic sleep stories for grownups.From now most of my videos will be bedtime stories for grownups which help the listener to sleep while also helping to tackle stress, anxiety and worry. I will very rarely post about autism and mental health as I have been for the last 12.5 years and as has been the main focus of my Dan Jones Hypnosis channel for the last 12.5 years.People largely are wanting my Dan Jones Hypnosis channel to focus on sleep stories for grownups and not other topics, so I have reluctantly agreed that will be my main focus here. I will very occasionally post additional videos about autism and mental health and videos with Neuroscientist colleague Dr David Lewis, but these will be additional to my regular sleep stories for grownups.I will still focus on mental health and autism on the Mind Changers website and my own blog/website (where you will find my books/ebooks/ecourses/blog posts, etc) and will continue to do autism talks and have autism awareness as my main focus. I will just not be posting much of that on YouTube. I will share things I am posting in the Community Tab on YouTube to keep those who are interested informed, but it could also be worth following me on Twitter and Facebook (.). Every week I recommend a book to do with hypnosis/hypnotherapy/psychotherapy or a book I think is relevant, interesting or useful for those working in the caring profession to read.
